COVID-19/ Mask/ Illness Policies

COVID-19 Safety/Mask Policies (as of 12/18/23)

Amherst Community Theater adheres to all government recommended safety guidelines. Our policies are subject to change as conditions and guidance from health authorities change.

Once we move into Bowker Auditorium, masks will be required for all cast members, backstage team members, and volunteers both when downstairs in the green rooms and when backstage.

Performers will not be required to wear masks while performing on stage.

Because we will be using public facilities (Bangs Center, Amherst Schools, Bowker Auditorium) for rehearsals and performances, there may be additional safety requirements for participants and audience members.

We expect all participants in our productions to be respectful of our policies and adhere to them in good faith.

Illness Protocols (as of 6/6/23)

Cast members who are symptomatic should contact Sam Karlin, the rehearsal stage
manager, at stagemanager@amherstacts.org or 413-265-8900 to let us know you
will be missing rehearsals or performances due to Covid or other illnesses.

Cast members who test positive for Covid should not return to rehearsals or
performances until symptoms are improving, there is no fever without medication,
and it has been at least 5 days since first symptoms or a positive test, whichever
came first.

If someone in your household has Covid or if you have been exposed to someone
with Covid, you must test negative before coming to rehearsal.

If you have any doubt about whether you are ill with Covid, please test before
coming to rehearsals or performances.

These policies are subject to change as conditions change.
